Who are we?

H.U.D.S - Hillsborough Upper Don Detached Service is a team of 8 Youth Workers employed by Sheffield Futures that work with young people in areas around the north west of the city.

What do we do?

We build relationships and work with young people aged 13 to 19 in their community through detached youth work. Basically, our team of workers go out in evenings between 6pm and 9.30pm equipped with a rucksack full of information about loads of things relating to young people. Once we have built a good relationship with groups and there is a trust in place, we ask what projects would benefit them – if it’s possible to run, then we will plan and organise a programme to suit their / your needs.

Where do we work?

We are currently based at Upperzone Connexions Centre 143 Crookesmoor Road, Sheffield S6 3FP. However, during evenings we are at:
